Front hub for std
I have an 88 civic std with the small spline hubs and I want to upgrade. Which hubs should I use (needs to be off a civic so my brakes will work), and can I put the bigger hub in my stock knuckels? I am also going the change the berarings when I do the hub swap.
anything not HF 88-91 is the same..i would upgrade to DA hubs/knuckles for the bigger rotors and calipers..
edit: just replace the whole knuckle with all new bearings

not true... there are 26 spline hubs and 23 spline hubs.

Std civic has 23 spline hubs I want to upgrade to 26 spline, but i wanted to know what hubs are 26 spline and if the will fit in the std knuckle?
all std/hf are 23 splines..
all other are 26splines meaning 88-91 DX and Si are 26 splines..
the hub with a 26 spline will not fit a knuckle with a 23 spline hub..you will need to
upgrade to a 26spline knuckle/hub
like i said before, you might as well uprgrade to DA or SiR knuckles and install new bearings while you are at it..

I'd swap the entire knuckles/spindles for DA Integra or 90-91 Civic EX if you can find them. That way you already have the knuckles in place for a bigger brake upgrade. Later,
