I think JDM B16A cable tranny use the same clutch as the Integra 90~91 LS at least for my J1 tranny.
I think the spline counts are the same for all years b-series but JDM B16 cable tranny and the 90~91 LS tranny has smaller diameter shaft so not compatible with anything 92 and up.

There are two different gens of cable b16 trannies. OBD0 89-91 civic/crx/DA all use a USDM 90-91 integra clutch ONLY!!!!
In 92-93 integra ODB1 B16 cable trannies (ys1)you have to use a 92+ clutch. Some people make the mistake of buying the 92-93 integra clutch for a 90-91. It fits over the splines but it's too big and can cause it to slip/strip teeth on the tranny itself (very bad).
The point is make sure to check 89-91 y1/j1/s1=90-91 integra
ys1=92+integra
A side note, the 92-93 cable trannies have the same internal parts as the later hydro trannies so you can swap gears and diffs from oh say a GSR/CTR/ITR.

this is all correct info!!!!
my question is..... are the pressure plates interchangeable?

Pressure plates only differ because of manufacturers. You can use any b-series pressure plate. Just the spline count on the disc is different. Not that its a good thing to mix and match them.

thats what i always thought too.
i remember using all sorts of pressure plates, even an ITR one on a cable trans.
the discs are the only difference.

Sorry but that is false info, try putting a 92-01 disc onto a 90-91 input shaft and you will see. I have dealt with this problem a million times. I never counted splines but the shaft is most certainly smaller. It will "work" but there is lots of play and will wear the teeth out until they break.
