Default do civics allow more outside pollution into the cabin?

when comparing my car to my friends' cars while the fresh air vent is open, i notice that the smell of pollution is a lot stronger in my car. i can somewhat smell things from outside even when the recirculation is on. i changed my filter a couple months ago. is something wrong with the vent or is this normal?

have you changed your in-cabin filter? Have you checked for anything that might be under your hood?

Change the cabin air filter and check the cowl vent. A shower (with soap) would help too. This sound more like your perception than an actual problem.

I have definately never heard of anyone having this problem. Try spraying the entire interrior of your car with Fabreeze. Oh and make sure you have the windows rolled up, that always helps.
