hey guys, i can't seem to find a block to put my head onto......well any obd-2 d16's, but i came across a d16z6 motor.....now can i put my d16y7 head onto the block and run my oem ecu....obd-2a and pass all inspection bs, that i have to go through? or is it the fact that the block is older than the car, that i can't pass......

 

if it was me i'd stick to the z6 block and head and obd1 ecu thats the best way it will run thats what i got

 

it will run the exact same, the block are identical to my understanding.......just my questions is, will i pass all inspections and such since my block is an obd-1 but everything else is obd-2a????

 

Where in VA are you located?

Do you actually get tested for anything?

 

stafford, just south of quantico, they test for everything, but thats not the problem, does my block matter if i pass or not

the block doesnt matter,m i live in stafford, just tell them its a stock motor and you should be fine
