i have a 97 HX and my tranny is messed up,its making a grinding noise on low rpm's..and they told me it was the input shaft bearing..
instead of replacing that i was thinking of gettin a EX tranny..
would this work,any mods to make it fit..or what kind of tranny should i get?

 

yeah you can ge the ex tranny, direct bolt up. however the older s20 have shorter gear ratios i belive. s40=ex s20=old ex or si. stay away from the DX tranny tho. hope this helps.
