Default Looking for my first gun, need suggestions/advice

Ok, so i've been thinking about trying to learn how to paint for i'd say close to 5 years now. I've been very intimatated by it, especailly after reading accouple books, etc. No i feel a bit more comfortable to take the plunge.

First, my main plans are to start small. Obviously, i plan to practice first but the first things i want to paint would be lips, wheels, small things like that. I've been using color matched spraypaint which has impressed me (not premixed, mixed to order). But i want to go further. I may or may not paint a car totally, we'll see. If i do, i would image it would be a beater car that didn't need to be perfect, etc.

Anyway, a bunch of people have recommended me this-http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?function=Search. Basically for something to get me started and won't break the bank. Basically i've been told it will do the job and familiarize myself with everything, then i can buy something nicer without wasting too much money.

Then my local automotove paint store recommended me something-i can't find the info for the life of me. Big help, i know . But they did say the gun above would probably do the trick for beginners. I'll try to get more info on this, i'm very sick right now so i probably won't make it out there until this weekend.

Anyway, I'm a bit clueless about this. I'm about to buy a new lip so i kind of want an idea of what to being going for. I work with someone who painted cars for 15 years, he's been helpful but i haven't asked him specifically about guns yet since i want to be a bit more on top of it myself before i pick his brain. Anyway, any help, suggestions, etc, are defineatly apprciated.

IMO decide how much money you want to spend first. If your really into it, go for the gold and get a good used sata. NR 2000's are really nice for the money.

Well, my budget is fairly loose right now. That's a bit more than i want want to spend though. I defineatly am the type to try to buy the best i can afford but in this case, i don't want to spend $400+ on a gun when i have no clue if it's something that will get enough use to justify the price. I'd like to buy something "usuable" first, see how it's really going to work out for me before i go further. So i would say i want to top out around $100-150 (or less if possible), and sort of learn and go from there. I don't know if that makes sence, i think i'll end up saving money by not going to pricey and let it sit, as well as figuring out what would benifit me as well. I'm defineatly more looking for a "starter" gun.
