Default sohc zc swap (dpfi-mpfi) running rich...help

Black smoke (& slight oil contamination)

Specs:
90 STD HB
Sohc ZC (burns no oil)
DPFI-MPFI (w/ 10ohm 10W inline resistors)
Chipped PR4 w/ PM7 maps (PM6 maps didn't help)
Ported STD header
Charcoal Canister removed
PCV removed

ECU finally threw O2 sensor code (1), but I do not know if it was just fouled up or not (this happened only after driving for a little while). I will try another O2 sensor ASAP.

Would the inline resistors cause this as opposed to a resistor box?

i have a 88 crx dx with a sohc zc swap and dpfi-mpfi. For the fuel injection swap i used a stock si harness, the pm6 ecu, and the resistor box. But i have the same problem as you, i am running rich and throwing an o2 code. I noticed my timing belt was off and my cam was two teeth advanced and i ran it like that for 2000 miles before noticing so at first i thought that was just my problem. Before i changed the timing i was getting 27 mpg city and after the timing i got 35 mpg then 33 mpg and now 27 mpg again and i still throw the o2 code. The timing has not jumped teeth again and it still is running rich. I have changed o2 sensors with no luck. I have been trying to figure this out since april '07 when i did the swap with no luck so far.

I am also very interested in figuring out this problem so any progress you make please post it.

Is your motor vtec or no because i know they made both vtec sohc zc's and non vtec versions. Mine is not vtec.

non-vtec, i checked the timing (cam) when i put the motor in
i'll check it again since its been a while

if anything, i'm sure I can just use turboedit and a chip burner to trim the fuel down a little once i get my wideband

Also, i will check the tps wiring to make sure that I pinned it correctly (mpfi).

get another o2 sensor from the junk yard (an OEM sensor). if it doesnt work you can go back and pull another one. dont buy a bosch sensor, ive read nothing but bad things about them. i have a bosch that has held up well tho.
make sure your timing is set correctly as well
