JDM D15B with Skunk 2 IM or D15B stock IM?
My friend currently has the single stage vtec D15B in his Del Sol with the Skunk 2 Intake Manifold with a Y8 throttle body. A lot of people though keep telling him to switch out the Skunk 2 IM and put in a stock D15B Intake manifold and he will gain more high end power.
Although i dont know the differences between a Skunk 2 IM and a D15B IM for the D motor, ive seen pics of the D15B IM and the runners look longer than the Skunk 2 and i would assume the runners are wider on the Skunk 2. If this is true, wouldn't the Del Sol be better off with the Skunk 2 IM if he is looking for high end power? Anyone know the diameter of a Y8 throttle body?
