RADIATOR RECOMMENDATIONS
I am just finishing building out my shop and getting it set up (moving sucks). As I posted, this winter I plan to build the top end, clutch, ignition, header, exhaust system, etc. on my '94.
Thanks for the input for exhaust- feedback from owners of the RSR Exmag system indicate a very good quality build and that the system is very quiet. I have paid for a few leadfoot tickets this year, but at least I won't have to pay for a "loud" exhaust system.
I noticed lately slow leakage from my radiator at the metal/plastic change (top). I am surpised- I flush the radiator and block every year. I guess this is to be expected- the radiator is 13 years old. Many OEM radiators these days last 5-7 years.
Due to the engine-work, I guess I will have to replace the radiator. I have been looking at the solid aluminum body units. The engine work will not be extreme, so near stock-flow will be sufficient. It never gets really hot here, and below freezing in winter, another reason to not overkill on flow-rate.
There are countless units on the market, so some input would be appreciated. Long life and depedabilty are most important. Quality seams and finish are a must. I do not need a unit for 'looks', quality build for a reasonable price most important.
Input from techs, or owners that have had a unit for a long time, would be appreciated. I have been seeing around $400, so I never want to rerplace the unit again, period.
As I said, the number of units available is insane, and from my experience quality can vary greatly between manufacturers, even in the same price-range. Wrenchy

I dont know about difference brands of radiators, but I know you should get a 'metal top' radiator. The stock Honda radiator is plastic top and is a common place for the radiator to crack.
sound like your engine mods are going to be light and you dont live in extreme heat than a quality OEM replacement should be fine. as far as good brands goes Koyo is a widely used and trusted brand. or you can go to autozone and pickup one of their lifetime warrantied radiator, cant comment on the quality on those though.
