K-Series swap will cost you anywhere from 6-10K depending on how much you get your parts for. It's a great motor if you can afford it. Not many people can.

I say you build the B20 into an LS/VTEC and b00st it, you already have the motor in, and it'll cost you much less money.

Well, then it's not really LS/VTEC.

But I'm with Enron.

That, or you should sell it someone who knows what they want to do

finally, someone that knows that they can be had for a little cheaper.

all these people saying im spending $10-15k on a swap. ive only spent $7300 so far on my build. and its a k20a R swap too.

i still think $6-10K can be achieved if you shop around.

D16Y7 motor, ZC tranny, go OBD1, no V-TEC.

<--- full time single cam'r.

Then put in some beefy suspension and brakes for real fun.

90/93 teg brakes (f/r); Brembo blanks, hawks pads, ss lines

Tokico Illuminas, Eibach Sportlines and sway bars, Skunk strut bars, tie bars, lca's, Ingalls camber, some sticky tires, light weight wheels...

...and a curvy track.

Sounds more fun to me than a B or K series.

i wouldnt be mad. it'll probably make 450+ but then again, im not superfamiliar with the procharger setup. but, it might make 550. i know it can be done. im just not sure at what boost level it can be achieved at.

either way, you'll love it. forget the numbers. you just want to be as quick as legally possible. oh, and still better mileage than your pop's hummer. hahaha

well were gonna rework the heads and throw in a mild cam at the same time to fatten up the midrange....rob built a 5.7 gto for granatelli performance....heads and cam car with a procharger making 605whp on 5 pounds...
so i definitely think its possible to make 550+ with my reworked stock heads and milder cam on about 6-7 psi....stock block till i can afford to forge this 6 litre sitting in my garage.
lol the hummer got better gas mileage after we charged it, but now its having tranny issues so my pops is letting it sit for the time being...

I've driven it all. Literally. I used to work at a shop in Bellevue, WA.

The owner didn't say what his goals where. And when I look to up rise a car, braking and handling are what I love. Maybe a D16A8/ZC swap, but thats the most I'd do in my 4th gen. I've enjoyed D series from day one. Not knocking a Dual Cam of any series, just not my taste.

I'd pic a ZC/D16A8/A6/Z6/Y5/Y7/Y8 first....in no particular order.

B series pick is a LS here, then ITR. SiR/GSR motors have no appeal to me. I'd only do the CR/V-TEC with a SiR/ITR head.

H/F in Civics are a last resort with no point really, but now the H2B/F2D kits...I can't wait to test one!

K series is a pretty straight forward swap now. Just needs time and money (a whole lot of money compared to an average swap) like any project swap. I drove a 90 hatch w/ the Si K20(160hp) swap. Pretty damn nice, but just not for me.

After a D series upgrade, I'd boost next.....JRSC!
