Default Which one works best with my EK?

ok guys iv been researchin this topic alot and im thinkin il go retro fit HID's for my ek. but im looking for 8000k but mite settle for 6000k ONLY from an OEM set up (ex. Audi/BMW/s2000/STI etc). So im curious to know, does it matter which setup i use, like does it matter which car i use it from (ex. useing from a s2000 rather than BMW, is ther a quality difference?) or is ther only specific HID setups i can use with my civic? save me the flaming im new at this. thanks in advance

All OEM kits are in the 4100-4300k range. This is the part of the spectrum where light is pure white.

All the pretty colors that you're attempting to emulate are due to the optics of the projector lens.

Anything above or below the 4100-4300k range results in less lumens or light on the road.

edit: For the most part, all OEM hid setups are considered to be of the highest quality. Some may argue that brand A is better than brand B, but they all beat the hell out of the no name Chinese/Tiwanese/etc. counterparts.

thanks but my real question is there a 6000k or 8000k available ? the color of the light is more my goal rather than the brightness ritenow

Yes there is, but what you're referring to is not a retrofit, but a plug-n-play kit. To put it frankly, they suck. You'll get the pretty blue/purple/pink color that you're looking for, but at the expense of blinding other drivers.

Whatever headlight you're using isn't designed to handle the amount of light or the improper placement of the bulb that's inherent to PNP HID kits.
