Brake lamp
My brake lamp warning light comes on when I start my car, sometimes it will go off while I'm driving, but not always. All the bulbs (high and low) are all working. I'm wondering if it could just be a short in the system. Anyone have any experience with this?
When you say High and Low are all working, you mean the brake light and the park light in the rear are working? Might be a silly question, but is your 3rd brake light working as well?
Do you have aftermarket lights?

Yes, the brake light and the park light are working, as well as the the third eye. No, I do not have after market tail lights or bulbs, everything is stock. We just had a major storm here, so I was thinking just some water got into the system somewhere.

There's a warning lamp that says "Brake Lamp" & that's separate from the handbrake & fluid warning lamp.
The 2-filament bulbs can light up for parking lights, but still have the other filament burned out for the brakes. Gotta watch the lamps while someone actually steps on the brake. Watching the parking lights isn't good enough.
That warning measures differences between power to the different brake lamps but sometimes it's too sensitive. Corrosion or dirt in the bulb sockets can set it off. Force a bulb in backwards can set it off. Force a 1-filament bulb where it needs a 2-filament bulb can set it off.
Finally, if nothing else works, try new bulbs all around. If they don't match perfectly, that can sometimes set it off.

I am having the same problem. I have the "Brake Lamp" light activated, but do not have any bulbs out. I matched the "recommended" replacement lamps with the model and make of the car (94 LX Coupe) and replaced each bulb. Both lower and the single upper. The "Brake Lamp" light is still activated. Is there some reset for that light or does it go off when everything is grounded properly with the correct lights? All bulbs that I replaced were single element bulbs. Are there any dual element bulbs required for that make and model?
