Default Ignition coil blowing

ok heres the deal, 8 months ago I was driving and my car died, the engine just stopped and the car vibrated to a stop, it kept cranking but wouldn't start. I went back and hour later and it started right up. Everything was fine until last month, It died exaclty the same way. I checked and there was no spark coming off the coil. I went and got a new one, popped it in and the car worked fine. Today my dad took it and it died again, same thing. I knew it was the coil and I checked it and it was dead. I brought it back and they gave me a new one. I popped it in and it started and I drove it 200 feet before it died again. I pushed it to a garage. does anyone have any idea why the expletive it keeps blowing. How come the fuse isn't blowing instead? anyone ever heard of this happening?

I have a 92 Honda Accord EX, I had the same problem twice. The car was acting fine and one day I go up the road.. and about 2 miles up the road it died just as you said yours did. However, it would not start at all... tried for hours. I got it back home and put a new Ignition coil in it and that still didn't fix it. Somone suggested an Ignitor, I got one of those out a 89' honda of some sort and it fixed it.. No problems since!

Bad wires or corrosion in the distrubutor cap/rotor can cause coils to continuously blow.
