Default LHT master cylinder brace review

I installed my LHT master cylinder brace today. The install was very simple and straightforward. John at LHT even provides directions to make install a snap for those who are less mechanically inclined.

I immediately noticed a significant difference in braking when backing out of my driveway. I took my car out for a quick spin and got going about 60-70 MPH and came to a quick stop. The MC brace made the pedal feel much better and it also improved braking considerably.

I recommend the LHT MC brace for anybody with an ITR that wants more braking.

Does anybody have a server to host my pics of the MC brace install?

Yup, a very good product and it does the job it's supposed to do.

Brake feel is definitely firmed up. I did 12 runs at the autoX yesterday and it felt good. I don't really remember what it felt like stock, so I can't say by how much it's firmer though.

One complaint. My m/c brace came all chipped, so my powder coated brace was showing the bare metal... which I thought was a bit cheesy considering the cost of the product.

I have seen the MC brace and it looks pretty sturdy, but it's also flat black. I just wnat to add that if John painted it, gave it a brushed finish or even anodized it I think it more appealing to much more people. I could care less but it's just a thought.

The MC Braces are painted by a Paint and body shop near by the shop. We have noted the problem about the chipping, Our painter said they must have put too much hardener in the paint, we are now having them power coated. They will still be black but should be alot more duable. Thanks to all who posted.

Will these fit a 92-95 civic with a ITR master brake cylinder and brake booster?

The LHT MC brace bolts on using stock holes. John provides two 6 X 1.0 (10mm head) grade 8 bolts to ensure they will last under hard braking.

The LHT MC brace is very easy to install and works very well.

John is on this board. His username is CRVRX. IM or email him. Be sure to tell him you saw my post.

Hmmm... I never thought that the MC flexed that much. How do they work exactly??

The firewall under the booster is what's flexing. It's really quite a shame that we can't run these in HC. The firewall is just too flimsy to be mounting brake components on

Have a friend push the brake pedal while you watch.

Thanks Kenji for the review. To the person who asked about the powder coating, we are setting up with a company to do them, when we do , send yours back to us and we will get it done for you .
As for , Hatchbacks and GSR's we are building some proto type's, so we can find out what fits what. We will keep them a" bolt on deal", no drilling ect, I will keep you posted. Scutr22@aol.com can take orders on them and he has a paypal set up.
Thanks, John@LHT.
