i think its time that we answer everyones q's, and mine What exhaust or muffler is the quietest? Right now im looking at an es tuning muffler, thermal exhaust muffler, and an obx twin loop all with 2.5 inch piping. oooorrrrrr, a apexi ws or greddy sp(i think thats it) exhaust. id rather go the muffler than custom piping so its less expensive. but either way is fine. If you know of any others please list.Just thought we should answer this o so important question, thanks.

R*SR is a quiet exhaust, but I dont know if it has 2.5" piping. To quiet things down why not just use a resonator or two

 

Resonators work wonders. Aftermarket catback systems that are quiet seem to be RSR and the Apexi WS2. Those are the two main ones.

if you want quiet, i went with imco turbo muffler.

its deep at idle but soft, and at higher rpms it sounds like a rush of air.

i went with two of them to even out the flow with a y-pipe.

 

APEX i World Sport II...that thing is Super Quiet....all u really get is a real low hummmm at idle....gives u a performance gain too

 

what about having a rsx type s muffler on it? and does the smaller the piping the louder it gets?

 

RSX muffler is a pretty decent upgrade and as I recall it is a 2.5" inlelt for the type S which is decently big.

 

hey thanks. i probly just go to a junkyard to get that. and how much better is it to have a mandrel bent exhaust rather than the ones with those crinkles in it?

 

Mandrel will outflow a crush bent system. Since it will evacuate a larger volume of exhaust than a crush bent system.
