Default typcial valve train noise, would you feel it in the corresponding spark plug?

I was curious if a valve was moving out of spec could you feel it on the spark plug? If not what would cause this? The spark plug goes up and down (not in and out but just vibrates noticeably).

thanks in advance. I searched valve adjustments but couldn't find extra symptoms that would also be involved!

*edit* hopefully clarified

If you place your hand ontop of the spark plug while motor is running, could a valve moving out of spec create a pulsing in the sparkplug above them(valves)?? (which you would than feel with your hand??)

am I still typing in a forign language or are you being sarcastic? (as in yes you would feel the spark plug pulsating as the valve moves too far open)?

sorry for not exactly understanding what your saying but you didn't really leave it completely obvious.

lol the boot is vibrating? ok thats prolly not a big deal. lots of stuff vibrates.

and no your valve will not hit the sparkplug if the lash is out.

Not physically Hit, but the vibrating from the valve moving out of spec causing the boot ont top of the spark plug to pulsate? I know they arn't physically conected in any manor but I was wondering of that would be a symptom that the Valves are moving out of specification? (which is pretty much my question)

*edit* didn't install cams or anything internal

cams? relash? I appreciate your quick responses but I only want to know if I need to adjust my valves or not based on the ticking I hear, and based on that I can feel the tapping ontop of the head around my number 2 spark plug (reading from left to right!)

lol sorry, got you confused with someone else.

If your worried about it then just check them, its not all that hard. It sounds like they just need adjusted.

get yourself a feeler gauge set and find out for YOURSELF if they are out of spec. We cant tell you if your valves are out of spec over the internet. Get your hands dirty.

do you know how valvetrain works, lol?

Not exactly, if I did would I even be on here asking this question?

so I should rip my plug wires off, pull my plugs, remove my valve cover bolts, remove my valve cover, remove the valve cover gasket, remove my front tire, start rotating my crankshaft changing top dead center for each set of valves (exhaust and intake) instead of just asking somone elses opinion?

Im just curious, if the pulsating could be a symptom of valves needing to be adjusted. If you don't know for sure thats all I could expect you to say. But my question is a pretty fair request.

*edit* I'm only after your opinion or suggestion to what else would cause a vibration in the head around the number 2 spark plug.

thats exactly what you should do, it really doesn't take all that long and you don't need to take the tire off.

If that doesn't fix anything let us know and we will try to help a little more.

the spark plugs have nothing to do with the valvetrain. You cant tell anything about the valves from looking at the spark plugs unless you find a piece of valve stuck in the plug, lmao.....

theres going to be vibration. You have an engine throwing metal around in a circle in damn near every direction....its going to vibrate.

Hah...the spark plug was loose in the #2 cylinder.

That's 3 things the Honda technician moron did wrong all in one hour's labor LOL

I guess its my fault. I should just become a mechanic so I don't have to rely on those overpriced idiots! (no offense to any Honda mechanics on board here unless they work at the Kitchener Honda (Ontario Canada) than the offense is definitely on their behalf)
