What pistons will get me to 13:1 ???
My goal is to have 13:1 comp ratio. i dont want more than 13:1 but no less than 12.8:1 . Right now my setup is 84x89 with a B16 head with flat-top valves...
Any ideas?
Most 12.5:1 pistons have a dome cc of 4.8 or so and the next highest is like 7.8cc, i was looking for something in the 5-6cc range ...??? anyone know of any pistons?
thanks

Because i planning on running 112 oct. and i dont want to go 14:1 because i want to make the engine as reliable and last as long as i can, but i want it to be a little more than 12.5:1 because thats the compression i ran last time on 93oct. and this time i have the ability to run 112... Any ideas ?

i was hoping for an answer involving the cam choice.....

and its not just a race motor, i plan on running two tunes, One tune will be a mix of 112 and 93oct, and then the track tune will be 112 oct. i plan on driving this on the weekends...
I daily drive 13.3:1 compression on 93 octane with 0 detonation issues and it's as reliable as stock.
With pro 2 cams, proper piston prep, and a tuner who knows what the hell he is doing, you aren't going to get any benefit with more octane honestly. Timing can only be advanced so far before it become detrimental regardless of what fuel you run.
