94 Civic Coupe EX

I am replaceing the climate controller in my dash. How do you take off that first plastic cover or slide the unit out with out tearing up the dash.

Any help would be appreciated

 

Take out the radio...and the lower plastics under it where the cig lighter is. Once you have that off crawl under there and there is four screws way up in there, take those off then go at the wiring clips. They are a pain...after that remove the line connecting to the bottom of where the ac box is. it unclips then you can just slide it off.
