Will a Full b20 Crv swap (automatic) run perfectly in an automatic civic ek hatch??
My question is this.
A 96 ek hatch that i have is automatic.
I have a full b20 swap with the automatic tranny and everything still on it.
If I use the si brackets and install the motor in the hatch will the tranny and everything work fine ??
Ive done many 5 speed swaps just curious about the auto.
Of course im going to use automatic 94-2001 integra axles and auto integra ls ecu, just curious about the tranny and if it is direct bolton for this chasis.
Plz let me know
Thanks

It's going to be tough finding someone with just the experience, I think auto-auto swapping is very rare among this website.
Though someone with just the raw knowledge could figure it out.
It will be just like a b18b swap with an ls tranny(auto) into a civic, I don't see why it couldn't be done. I've never heard of it.

ya ive done many 5 speed swaps, i even converted a auto car to manual and swapped in a 5 speed swap.... so i dont lack the knowledge... i just never see people go from a auto d series to a auto bseries... its not very common and i have never done it before although it seems the same as a normal swap.
But thanks for the info and help.

ok... so how about this... what rear bracket would i use??? a 99-2000 civic si rear bracket ?? keep in mind this is an automatic ek hatch and an automatic b20 swap
Update: Motor is now on engine mounts and is sitting in engine bay. Need to know now how to remove automatic b20 transmission gear shift cable from tranny to install a new one. I removed the bracket around the cable, yet dont see how to remove the gear shifter cable.
Ok so all the crv brackets will work. Great. Now HOW DO I REMOVE AND CHANGE THE GEAR SHIFTER CABLE ON THE TRANNY?? It was cut and i need to install a new one but dont see how it is removed??
you need to use the integra auto tranny. it will work alot better andnot all wheel dreive it also bolts up no prob.
why would i want to change that tranny to an integra one when this one is fine? It isnt 4wd. Its normal 2wd.
What are you talking about??
I was just asking how to remove the pin holder that holds the gear shifter cable on the tranny......

I know this was a post from years ago but it is soo helpful to me right now. Im doing this same exact build in my automatic 98 civic dx. i swapped everything from a 99 automatic cr-v into my civic coupe to make it awd (engine/trans/transfer case/rear diff/and front spindles) it all fits. but im having the same issue with the gear shifter cable. so after reading the thread its still unclear. Is the recommendation to use the shifter cable from the integra?

was this a direct swap? Did you figure out the cable issue ?
I thought that the CRV/Accord/Prelude/RSX had cables while the Integra/Civic had those big rods? Surprised you were able to get all of that stuff to fit. Try reading up on what the straight H22 Civic swap guys do for their shifter cables.
