Temp gauge not working.
I searched but bleh, anyways. From what I read it mostly said to check all plugs and the one under the distributor, and I checked them all and they are plugged in, and my temp gauge stays at one bar, no matter how long the car runs. Someone on another forum told me a temp sensor?
The car is a '95 Prelude S the car is stock, and what worries me is that I've been leaking coolant from the radiator cap for some time now, and I check it every day to make sure that the coolant doesn't go down than what its supposed to and I just fill it back up if it does, haven't got around to buying a new cap. But I'm afraid one day the cap is just gonna go gay and the car is going to over heat and I won't know since the temp gauge doesn't work.
thanks.
EDIT: gas/clock work fine.

It may be plugged in but you should still check the sensor and the connections. There could be some corrosion on the wires or something like that. Also maybe unscrew the sensor from the head and see if it's damaged or not.
Well I looked at what I think is the plug/connector under the distributor, and its covered in grease, I don't know if unplugging it and cleaning it will help, I couldn't do much since the engine was hot, and I was burning my hands and the sun was going down, but where exactly is the sensor itself? I saw a little plug looking thing, that i didn't wanna pull close to the connector, is that it?
It's an F22 engine.

Ok I compared your picture to my engine/motor/block and I believe this is it, but its a tight squeeze but I want to make sure that I'm not going to be pulling off/unscrewing the wrong thing. It is circled in red.
And that green plug that's taking up most of the screen is connected to the head? where the coolant hose and the block meet, its in my way so i can get my hand in there and pull/unscrew the sensor, so I wanted to know if its fine to unplug it while the sensor is being changed.
And does it unscrew or is it a pull/push thing?

Yep, you circled it...and you can unplug the green one for sure. There's a little tab on the plug you have to push in before it will slide off though.
That white plug is for the computer i believe and the other spot is for the guage in the car. However i never knew what the sensor does where the upper radiator hose goes to the head ? You can see it, its the green plug on the top right of the last pic.

Should be a fan switch....
Should be a fan switch....
i thought that was on the thermo housing in the rear of the lower radiator hose ? Or wait hmmm it may be a difference between the h22a(1) and the a4.... am i correct ? Because my a4 doesnt have that sensor however my a does....i gotta look at the thermo housing on my h22a
It says that #15/17 (thermostat housing) is a thermo sensor and that #16 (upper rad hose) is a thermo switch.....for what that's worth
