need opinions on system.
I was asked by a friend to put together a sound system for him while trying to keep the cost reasonable, i say reasonable because he said he does not paying a little extra for good sound quality and build quality. So this is what i was thinking, oh and its a 00 Accord 4-door.
For a head unit im thinking an Alpine or Eclipse around $200-300, im leaning towards the eclipse because of the 4v pre-outs they offer, theft protection, and overall i think the build/sound quality of an eclipse HU is top-notch for its price.
Front speakers: Diamond audio D362.5 6.5in component set, i've heard the D6's and i really like them, but are they worth the difference in price compared to the D3?
Rear speaker: Diamond audio D392i, i know alot of you car audio guru's say a rear channel is not needed, but i know my friend wont understand so i was thinking of getting these 6x9's in the back and maybe setting the crossover for mids only or cutting out the tweeter.
Now as far as the subs go im leaning towards, yes diamond audio again, the D3 or D6 10inch sub. I heard the TDX subs alot and really like them, but havent heard the D3 or the D6. I would like to keep the subs and speakers diamond audio but im open for suggestions im also thinking about JL audio, and he is looking for SQ so maybe two 10in in a sealed boxed?
in terms of amps im thinking about kicker or mtx in the right power output according to the speakers, since they are pretty well priced for the power they output.
And of course ill be using good quality power and rca's, and will add a cap, and im choosing lower end speakers and subs mainly because i want to avoid having to put a HO alternator in, and maybe just get away with adding a yellow top later down the line.
Please any input will be greatly appreciated im a fairly capable installer, i can do everything from basic radios to remote starts so the installation is not a problem, but my knowledge in terms of setting up the acoustics of a car audio system is limited.
