Jus bought a 00' hatch dx,ej,d16y7. While shopping parts always mention eg or ek chassis, i never see EJ.
1. Whats the difference between ek and ej?
I'm looking at various parts- 4 example- headers, i read somewhere i might have to replace my stock cat converter if i want to add headers and it would be alot of custom work
2. Is it because of my EJ chassis? I'm pretty sure (w/research) my d16y7 motor is SOHC, right?
I guess i'm scared to buy parts because i have trust issues, LOL, no seriously, they should make parts that fit just right? When parts relate to chassis I get freaked out because of the missing EJ.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1. EK = JDM
EJ6, EJ8 , EM1 = USDM
Most companies make headers that bolt right up to your cat. No custom fabrication is needed.

2. Unless you have an EM1 Chasis you have a d16 motor.
