i have a 1996 acura 3.5 rl... and i keep jump starting it just to get it started. the batter light doesnt come on to show that the alternator is bad.... is there some kind of security that makes me keep jump starting it... because it doesnt even start without me locking the outside of the car with the keys and then unlocking it wit the security system when i jump start it. how do i kno its the alternator because theres no battery light that comes on to indicate the alternator not charging it. someone please help me figure this out

 

go to autozone or advance auto....they will do a free battery/alternator test for you....
