Default Bore Size

I'm about to do a full engine rebuild on my F22 and am wondering about common bore sizes that people have done successfully in the past? What size can you go to on this engine before needing to sleeve it, or would you always need to add sleeves when doing this? I assume finding pistons won't be an issue as there are companies that cane make custom sizes, but I wonder if there is a few pre-set sizes that folks upgrade to to save the money and hassle of having custom pistons fabricated. I would like to bore it to 2.4 liters or more if possible.

This is not true. The H22 engine has fiber reinforced sleeves, where as the stock F22 came with Iron sleeves, much stronger and more durable.

As far as making the engine a stroker, there are stroker kits avaliable for the H22 from crower. They dont work for a normal F22 because the bore size is diffrent, but if your going to bore the motor out anyway, it may be a consideration.

For a complete list of engine specs and sizes, I suggest you read through this:

Awesome, thanks guys!

So, how much different are the A6 heads' intake and exhaust ports from the B2's ? Can you use the B2's intake and header on that head?

I purchased the Gude Performance Head Package a few years ago, which is the B2 head that has been ported and polished, had a valve grind done and was milled for high compression chambers and the addition of a Bullfrog Race Cam.

Shouldn't the work performed by them have addressed that flow issue of the B2 head? -Or should I sell the entire package and go with the A6 ?

Also, that interesting that you say to de-stroke it, because I was wondering about this very thing last night. Wouldn't it allow it to turn higher rpms if you went down in stroke length with larger diameter pistons? Should make for some nice power increase?
