Hey GTA Type R owners!

This years meet is in the planning as we speak!

Just like last year, this years meet will be held at Hockley Valley Resort (www.hockley.com), and will prove once again to be a fun, and elegant stray from the norm.



I've talked to the event planner at HVR, and the setup will be similar to last year (to those who came). We will have a section of the parking lot marked off for us, have a private patio BBQ, and the price will be kept on the cheap (It was $9 per head last time). As per last year, there will be a short cruise through Hockley Valley to a second location. This year, we might have the option of visiting a private 50-Acre property where we can relax and enjoy some drinks, and set up some great group shots.

As per usual, this is STRICTLY a <U>Type R</U> meet. No swapped tegs, civics,ect. So please respect our wishes and don't ask. I apologize if that offends anyone, but this is a Type R meet. I personally wouldn't ask to bring my car to an S2000 meet, and I would only expect the same.

Anyways, the reason for this post is to notify the GTA Type R owners of two possible dates:

I should have confirmation by the end of the week which date it will be. Both dates will have rain dates as well. Once again, Hockley is about 40 minutes North of Toronto, is situated on 200 Acres of beautiful hills and forest and most importantly ... no cops / thieves.

I will post up a proper event posting when things are confirmed, but right now if you plan on coming, just say you're in so we can gauge interest!

Ryan did an exceptional job organizing this event last year, and this year looks to be even better.

I live in that area and just to give you guys a heads up, the local Orangeville police and OPP have started a radar crackdown on Hockley Valley Road due to alot of speeders, so keep your eyes peeled

Yeah, it's been like that for years. That's why you don't speed on that road. The 20th however is even more twisty and no Po-Po whatsoever! While you're at Hockley though, they're nowhere to be seen

And yes, it's a beautiful resort

Can't wait for this years meet! Hope to see some new faces, and old friends.

 

Spoke with the event planner at HVR tonight and it seems more likely that it'll be on the 12th


Baby NSX .... see if you can get a hold of Matt, and Mike to see if they want to come out too.

 

Might try to make it out.....CSCS is on the 11th, let see how that goes.

just for this event, i wish i still had my itr ugh!

i'll see if i can hitch a ride with an itr owner from my area, cause id like to check this place out, since i cant come in a non-itr car lol.
