Koni Hardware Question

Default Koni Hardware Question

I bought some Koni Yellows off a member here and the rear install went perfect. Now coming to the front i ran into a lil problem which i havent read about so im guessing im lacking some hardware. Pictures are worth a thousand words so...

They do not fit around the shaft of the koni . Are these parts that are included when bought new? I want to get my car up and running so please help me out!!!!

i think you need their hardware. i used the stuff that came with the koni's.

i dont believe stock hardware will fit

double check all the packing material and boxes, it should have come with all the extra hardware you need. I thought my set was also missing the parts but I just didn't see them the first time I took the shocks out of the box.

yes they come with new parts the koni shafts are thicker. Pm username CRX LEE ( https://honda-tech.com/zerouser...27915 ), he works for koni he might be able to get you the stuff you need

I have no idea why but this Honda hardware kit is the only hardware kit of any car that we have to keep and sell in volume. Lots of people buy and sell the shock used and no one seems to get the hardware with it. Stock hardware is 10mm ID, KONI hardware for this is 12mm ID so the rod must be larger to allow for the adjuster. You can buy the hardware kit here on-line:

Look for the one that says Honda 8041 hardware. One kit is the hardware needed for the top of two shocks.

I ordered the stuff first thing this morning! I was hoping to get by this weekend but more then likely itll be monday or tuesday lol.
