All things break. Not all wheels are the same.
If you cannot afford Mugens, I guess buy what you can afford. If that is Rota's, then why listen to the haters. I was on a JDM-Only wheel kick, until I realized the price to pay for a set of JDM wheels is ridiculous. I now rock a set of nice looking, newer Auto-X's I picked up for $500 on brand new tires.
Buy what you want. Don'e be a sheep though.
