Just a general question, but when do the 08's come out? I know that a lot of dealers will be hard pressed to get rid of the 07's. I am trying to plan my get-the-best- price attack accordingly on buying an 07.

I bought my 07 in Nov '06 for 4k under MSRP. Not a smoking deal, but, you can always find them for good deals if you look. Just for reference, I had 3 deals on cars when I bought mine, 2 white 06 for the same price as my 07, and they wouldn't budge any further.

 

Wait till the 08's start showing up. Then its more of a making room type ballgame.

 

It seems the 07's are going for around 29k?

This is what I have gathered from those who have made good deals on them.

 

I know a guy that will sell them at Invoice .. which is about 30k i suppose.

 

Im pretty sure the CR is going to be the last S2000... i dont know if there coming out with 08's, and if they do then the 08's are the last year...

There will be regular 2008 S2000's and there will be limited CR's in 2008 as well. I recall reading that from Honda.

thanks for the corection... i know that they will be soon stopping the S2000 line though... Im excited to see what comes next

 

lol they have been saying they'll stop (or rumors anyways) .. and it keeps on going on and on ..

So true. My theory is, 2008 will prove to be the final run for the S2000 and Honda will release whatever they have been developing as a sort-of NSX replacement. I don't know if they'll badge it as a Honda or Acura; my guess would be the latter due to a high price tag.


That's just what I think though.

 

i think now is the right time coz new models are long due from Honda .... and as soon as they hit the market the prices are bound to get low

I would say Nov-Dec is a good time, I got mine and know a few others on the s2ki site that got theres during the same time for around 29,800-30,300 OTD including all dealer fees, registration, license, tax and what not. I would think that would be your target also for 07 models. Good luck though.

def not now... its mid summer, thats when everyone wants one, so the dealers jack the prices... i easily paid a grand more than i should have but i didnt care... i wanted it therefore i bought it...

 

Where are you from? If your located somwhere where it snows then i'd say get it during the winter time. Or i'd wait till some of the 08's start showing up in showrooms and then go buy an 07...

 

I'm in WV, so I am in the snowbelt area!

Buying in the winter doesn't make sense to me personally, for the car that it is, but I guess if I am cheap - it does make sense!
