new to riding a bike
Well guys I'm taking my bike permit test sometime this week.. only problem is I'm only 5'6 and 120lbs...you guys think weight/height is a problem riding my friends 2003 CBR600? I already know the basic stuff like shifting/clutch/throttle, but im not too good at it..
Also want to know which bike sits the lowest and which bike has the least weight for future reference on purchasing my own.

i believe the gsxr 600 has a slightly lower seat if im correct. u might wanna look into kawi 500r, seats lower and its a great starter bike
your buddy is pretty brave to let you use his 03 CBR to take the permit test with.
If you can barely manage shifting/clutch/throttle then why are you trying to take the permit test on a friend's bike? If you drop it i think it's an automatic fail, plus you just binned your friend's bike.
You may need to lower whatever bike you get, or just use the one cheek sneak technique in which you slide off the side of the seat to put one foot down.

I'm taking the written permit test...i don't think you need to ride the bike for the test unless its for the license. I mean he said he will let me ride it/learn off it, but everyone says that, but when it comes down to it they back down.

I had an EX500 at one point... I got it used for dirt cheap (although mine was a 1991 model), and had it for several years. I rode it to work nearly everyday in 2003-2004, despite me owning a very nice Suzuki TL1000r. The EX500 (or Ninja 500r as they are now called) is a very easy bike to ride, yet it is a bike that you don't out-grow instantly. I am not saying that you won't yearn for another bike, but the 500r is a very good bike to learn on, and keep around even after you have upgraded. Mine was my daily bike, and my poor-weather bike.
