You can tell which is the good stuff by looking at the label. The good stuff is made in Connecticut, the bad stuff is made in Chicago.

You can buy the good stuff from Zymol's website at http://www.zymol.com with 15 percent off Internet pricing, or from any of their dealers; you can look up your local Zymol retailer here: http://www.zymol.com/wholesal.htm Just keep in mind that the retailers who are dealers/servicers of European cars might not have Japon wax (for our cars) in stock. Another good place to mail/phone/web order is from http://www.emmonscoachworks.com , which gives 10 percent off to members of most of the big marque car clubs.

If you've never used it before, you might want to consider getting the intro kit pictured here http://www.zymol.com/intro2.htm It includes everything you'll need for the outside of the car - Zymol Clear to wash the car, HD-Cleanse to go over your car and remove oxidation and marks and such (only need to do this once or twice a year), and Japon wax, plus applicators. You might also want to get a bottle of http://www.zymol.com/vinyl2.htm Zymol Vinyl for the dash and interior trim; smells nice, and leaves a nice satin sheen, not a glossy sticky mess like that other brand.

When you use the wax, apply it in a VERY THIN layer, wait a minute or two, and wipe it off. Don't use it in the sun and don't let it sit for any length of time. One jar of the wax will last a long, long time - like maybe doing the whole car 10 to 20 times (and of course you only need to wax it about once every 2-3 months).

I used to use zymol and have switched to zaino brothers car polish. Best product I ever used. You can apply it direct sunlight and it holds a shine mush longer than any wax I've used. You can only get it on their website.

You can probably find good deals on Zymol on Ebay..seriously. Also, the "bad" Zymol isnt all that bad if you want a cleaner wax. Not a very high caranauba content though!
