Last time I called hmotors, Steve had USDM swaps. B18B's and H22's. Everyday can be different too ya know.

Yeah....but I check hmotors pretty often so yeah....none there but only k20
if someone can do a cheap swap for me on that, I'll get it

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sanimalp &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">last i checked most US junkyards have usdm engines, i would check there.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah I searched all my locally junkyards already none....looking for USDM b16 or GSR so yeah like I'll find any...only if I get lucky enough I just might (not!)

I tired this "www.jaydm.com" site but they don't answer to people who's not ready for a swap or as they say it "future swap down the road" or something like that....though I just want to know the price/milage more info. and then order but nope I don't see why they can't just put the damn price/spec etc like everyone else then if they are tired of people asking for infos. on swaps and not swaping

Anyways help if you can...if not I might just look into getting a DOCH ZC complete swap from hmotors or look local again to see if anyone's selling a d16a6? I want a freaken swap soon! Or before winter? don't know if I'll be able to drive the badly beated motor (frm 2 previous owners) come winter (stock 91 crx HF)

what's wrong if I just want a USDM engine!? I take it you have a JDM engine...so then where is all the USDM engine? What everyone has beated them and then swap to JDM that's why I'm not finding any?=P

Ls/vtec?? Maybe but perfer b16 first then later down the road do ls/vtec for bigger hp if I choose to plus ls/vtec....don't want to spend money on different engines rather just build on one single engine?...I don't really have the time to do ls/vtec only want a straight engine swap first......so yeah....Otherwise I'll waste maybe 1G for a DOCH ZC or less then a 1G for a d16a6 and call it good until I want to swap again------&gt;budget&lt;----- is why

some people go broke after a swap I don't want to! being broke is no fun

a usdm b16 is going to be extremely hard to find. they came in the del sol for one or 2 years and the civic si in obd2 form for like 2 years, and that is it. if you want cheap, get a d15b vtec and an obd1 conversion. thats the cheapest engine swap you can do, short of a mini me...

Well I kinda figure it could be hard to find them locally but I thought maybe some place sell them online? But as far as d15b vtec, don't I need wiring for that(vetc) to work? Or because it's the d15 no need just straigh swap? Otherwise my options I have left is DOCH ZC driect swap and D16a6 direct swap with no wiring/mounts/axels and etc extras that I don't really want to have done unless it's a B series...so if it comes to that (the zc or d16) I'm not going to spend more than 1G on it..plus I'm looking to restore/paint/have suspensions/brushing everything done to the whole car, so that would mean I need money for that

It's a AZ car so it's faded, needs minor exterior work(front/fender/corners), no rust, needs new crapet everything otherwise clean stock CRX I think I got a few bad pix on the profile?

D16A6's pop up here all the time for a few hundred dollars. DOHC ZCs are ususally found for cheap as well, but are getting a little beat up. You are right though, they may be your best options. You may also try to find a D15B2 and do a MPFI swap on it, you may be able to find one for free.

Where in the Midwest are you?

(wiZCo)Don't remember me already? I asked a about the dash...remember? Milwaukee

You mean on HT or locally? Well if it's ZC or D16a6, I know I shouldn't have to pay more the $700 max for a good decent ZC(decent low miles?) and a d16a6 well that should be cheap like $300 and below if it's still worth $300 (depending on shape/milage?) D15B2 vtec right? Thought I was already MPFI (got a HF) or is that something else? I know DX is not MPFI...Anyways if that's the case convert/swap to MPFI finding one would kinda be hard trying to just find a loccaly engine for swap is already hard

But just now I spoted a ZC($500) and D16a6($400-obo? forgot) and then someone with a GSR(80k $2500 obo). So I'll see what I can get out of those or see how it turns out.

THANKS "D16Z6racing" I'll look at them as well in the case if none of the engine falls through.

Sorry, I've had so many people asking about parts lately, but nobody's buying.

You may try calling All About Speed in South Milwaukee, he's got a few D16A6s and a DOHC ZC laying around (well, he did last month), he usually charges pretty fairly as well. PM me for the phone number or if you still want the dash.

Question of the night....kind of confusing?reading the search thread...feel a bit dumb/though I'm still a noobie =p but "long block" what is it? Please don't post anything else if you don't want to help/nothing good to say.........

But anyways say if I wanted to order a ZC engine for a complete swap say from hmotors:

Now they have it where it's 88-91 SOHC ZC longblock which is:
Motor
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Injectors
- Fuel Rail
- Throttle body
- Alternator
- Distributor
- 5 Speed ZC Transmission(Add $150)
- Motors

And that would be the long block right everything of a engine for a swap BUT the tranny right? Now if I said I needed the tranny (add $150) I THEN have my COMPLETE zc motor for a swap CORRECT? "long block" only refer to an engine as (in this case the ZC) Motor,Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Injectors, Fuel Rail, Throttle body, Alternator, Distributor, Motors

And not the tranny right? Is that what it is? Read a bit about "short block/long block" but don't really need to throw "short block" in otherwise I might just be confused though I believe that is just less engine of the engine=P if one wants to do an engine build on it...hopefully that makes sanse and that I got it or understand it?

You don't need to buy a tranny if your just doing an SOHC zc swap. The stock one works fine.

Yeah so i'm told...but come on man HF tranny sucks ***...you should try driving it stock onto the freeway (slow) have to really floor it on 2nd to 3rd...so yeah...but when I get the motor (whichever) I want to ditch the hf tranny I mean if I can I'll get the Si engine(d16a6) but local people are *** they post it wanting to sell it it but never answer...so yeah...I really want to do a d16z6 full swap with vtec full wiring and everything but seems like shops aren't sure on vtec wiring so yeah...think I should check with CRXToad? if he can work something for me....and then engine shouldn't be hard to find....but yeah otherwise it's ZC,D15b vtec, D16z6 Vtec order of my options d16z6 being what I really want...so yeah.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..............................................I'll see what happens...........................
