Default stock harness question b16

i have a std and i was wondering if the stock harness will directly fit on a b16a obd0 motor. any info on what is left over and what needs to be added or extended? or maybe what plugs needs to be changed? i am in the middle of putting the harness on but it looks like it doesnt plug all in. thanks a lot

You still use your STD harness but it needs to be modded to work with the B16 motor. If you don't feel up to add the wires yourself I would suggest checking out http://www.rywire.com/store/index.php for an adapter for your setup.

There are two simple answers

1. hasport

2. Rywire

the other answers are a lot more complicated so I’ll just leave them alone for everyone’s sake as it would involve using the search button.

how about the more complicated answer?

if you use a dx harness do you just take clips from an HF or SI harness to wire from dual to multi, and vtec?

Yes. That is exactly what you do.

You wire the MPFI (DX and STD are DPFI) and then you add the VTEC plugs. There are litterally hundreds of write ups on the net on how to convert your DX harness into a OBD0 Vtec harness.

It's actually quite simple.

what about converting it obd1... do you need clips from an obd1 harness to put on the DX harness?

+ an obd0 to obd1 jumper harness
