I been working on my Imprezza in Japan and started a $50 paint job. I am using a paint gun and is coming along fine. The only problem so far is that the paint on my plastic door handles seem to crack/wrinkle/lift up in some areas. Ive tried numerous times to sand it down smooth and reapply some more coats, but same outcome. Anyone here having the same problems? Anyone got a solution for me? Pics soon to be posted.

 

im almost 100 percent sure its because of the oil your hand leaves behind. try washing the door handles with dish soap.

 

painted a tail section on gsxr same thing happened..dont know why though..painted 1 before and it was fine..im thinkin sanded too deep and didnt prep it right..
