supercharged b16 questions

Default supercharged b16 questions

I have a b16 with a h/i/e and I want a little bit more power and im leaning towards a supercharger...Ive heard jackson dont help that much so I was wondering if anyone could give me some good names of a supercharger that would help me out?

reliabilty has nothing to do with what psi you run.

the JRSC works good and is reliable, just get the MVM stepper pulley to up the boost to 8psi, and get it tuned with some dsm450's , and you should be happy.

vortech and Jackson racing both make superchargers for the b16. two different types of superchargers.

i dont think the rotorex is out for b series motors. i think its out for the vq35? (nissan 350z motor). supposed to be super efficent thou.

well, not after reading the specs. its badass for peak power. but it has none of the characteristics that the roots blower has, that i know and love.

The Rotorex, Paxton and Vortec are centrifugal units, which means they build boost linearly.

The Jackson unit is a roots type. It builds boost instantly right off idle. 7 psi JRSC will make your B16 feel like an H22.

The JRSC is limited to how much power you can make ~300hp maxed out once intercooled.

If that isn't enough power for you or you don't like instant boost then you should go with a turbo or one of the other blowers listed above.
