Default ’99 LX 1-din radio, do I need a kit for an aftermarket radio?

I have a ’99 LX with the standard am/fm/cassette OEM radio. Do I need the kit to install an aftermarket radio?

From the picture of the kit from Crutchfield it looks like just the pocket under the radio which I already have.

The long story is that I have an Alpine CDA 7839 in my Volvo. I'll be selling that car in a couple weeks and was considering putting that radio into my Honda and putting the Honda OEM into the Volvo. I already have an Alpine CD changer in my Honda's trunk (controlled by the OEM radio), the CDA 7839 will also control this changer.
