Default Can't find out much info about this Suomy Helmet...

In the market for a new helmet, and saw this...

http://www.helmetcity.com/page...rared

This seems like a great price for a quality helmet, but I can't find any information about it. The only thing I have found is on that page, which says

"DOT approved and CERTIFIED to BSI 6658 Type A: providing unprecedented pre-public release batch testing of each production run, providing exacting quality controls."

... which makes it seem like this is a "pre-production" helmet.

Worth getting? Any other information out there?

Its a Suomy, what more you do need to know?

The front top vents look a little old school but I'm sure its quality. Suomy makes a bit of a rounder type shell of a helmet so if you have a narrow head you might want to try it on in person before you buy it.

For that price it might be a little on the loud side but you should be wearing eag plugs anyhow, so it doesn't really matter.

that doesn't mean it's a "pre-production" helmet. That helmet has been around for a while.
What they're saying is that the helmet was batch tested before being released. It basically just means that it's been tested and it's good to go. BSI certified is also really good, so you're set.

But, the most important part is the fit. You really need to try one on before buying one. According to suomy sizing charts i should be a medium based on the circumference of my head, but when i tried on a medium it made my head feel like a neglected zit; i thought i was going to pop. I then ordered a large after trying one on, only to find that after wearing the helmet for any time longer than 30 minutes it leaves a dent in my forehead and gives me a headache after an hour. My head is very long, like an alien or something, so suomy's oval design doesn't work for me. Shoei on the other hand fits fantastically. Everyone is different, and this is why it'd be a really good idea to try one on first.

I definitely will try on helmets before purchasing ones. I'm just pricing out some, and found this one but couldn't really find any reviews about it online. There's nothing about it on Suomy's website, so I wasn't sure.

Thanks
