Pioneer Premier amp turning on and off
i have a pioneer premier spl3000 amplifier, im trying to run it with my 15" diamond audio d9 at 1 ohm constant, my amp keeps turning on and off, and the sub pumps up and down, with or without the rca cable hooked up, do anyone know whats going on?? any help would be appreciated
Its like a heartbeat? Sometimes this will happen if the gain is turned up too high and the signal from the HU isnt giving the amp enough signal too work properly, are you using a high level input or an aftermarket HU? If a HU what kind and what is the voltage pre-out on the sub-amp?
It could be a bad input as well.

First I think you got the model number wrong. Is it this amp? PRS-D3000SPL. And if it is you need to wire that sub if you can. To a 2 ohm load. That amp does not support a 1ohm load. So you need to find a diffrent amp

You can't. You can either make that sub a 1 ohm sub like you have it now or make it a 4 ohm sub. Or you can sell that sub a buy a 4 ohm dvc sub and wire it parrale and make it a 2 ohm sub

I would look over the install. Try a diffrent amp if you can. If everything checks out send it in to pioneer for service. I hope you bought it from a dealer or its going to get pricey
