My last post didnt make sense. But does this sound like an ECU problem?
Ok I bought my CRX as non working and was told the spark plug wires had shorted out on the valve cover thus blowing the igniter. So I went to advanced and picked up an igniter and tried it. Didnt work. Now I thought hmm may be the dizzy so I took back the igniter and bought a brand new dizzy off ebay. While that was being shipped I replaced all my filters, checked fluids, and checked my main relay and then installed the dizzy once it got here. Nothing.....no spark at all. Well I finally gave up and just had it towed to a shop. They said the distributor was broken and ordered a new one which they switched out for free
. Now I get spark but they said the car wasnt starting at all. Well yesterday I talked to them and they said it has started 3 times for a very short amount of time before turning off and when the key is turned into the 'ON' Position it sparks and when its turned over it sparks but doesnt always start. Now they are thinking it may be the ECU because of the problem. Does this sound like an ECU problem? Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks for the obvious reply. Im not asking whether I should try the ecu. But rather if anyone knows if the ecu can cause problems like this or if anyone has had a problem like this? The shop has another ecu on the way so I will know hopefully tomorrow or tuesday but Im not worried about that. I wanna know if people have had an experience like this? Im kind of curious if its a wiring issue
