Default H-series trans on F23A1

already posted this in the accord forum but i thought i would stick one here too just because it involves both models.

i know the H22 trans bolts up the the F23, i'm just looking for some feedback from guys who have done this and what they thought of the results.

great for highway cruising, but it def doesn't have the same feel as an m2f4. i know some people who do h22 swaps whine all day long about how they used their m2s4 instead of getting a h22 tranny, so i would imagine the same would be true using the f23 tranny.

He's talking about putting an h22 trans on the f23.

I dont know those gears will work with a motor with 6k red line.

It'll work great! More acceleration faster 1/4 mile traps, you'll just have to shift a lot. With 205/55/15 tires (stock) and the M2F4 you'll be limited to 119mph. If you run 205/40/16/ and you're limited to 112mph.

It's great for autocross but not great on open roadracing and drag if you end up with more power.

well this will be my DD so i don't expect to be doing 119mph anyway. not doing much to it other than exhaust and maybe a chip down the road if it's worth it. don't think i'll have too much power for the transmission.

yeah this sounds like just the thing for me. i enjoy running through gears and only having to downshift once to get in the powerband. (i sometimes have to go from 5th to 3rd to get some good accel.)
