Y P30 pistons over PCT?
just wanted to know y majority of all motor ls/vtec builders choose P30 pistons over PCT ek9 pistons, doesn't the civic type r pistons have more compression and isn't that what u want in an all motor application?

yes but as combustion pointed out...

I think most engine builders will agree that the quality of compression is at times far more important than the quantity of compression.

depends on the condition of your cylinders

how many miles are on the block ur putting the p30's in??? cause if its high mileage it might not be a bad idea to replace the rod bearings and crank bearings. just to be safe.

P30's have better flame travel across the piston than CTR's.
P30's weigh less.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Don't forget timing. What's is the point of having alllll that compression from a high dome CTR piston, and then have to pull out more and more timing. Timing is where the power is, and you can run more of it safely with a P30.
