TCM code 14
Can anyone tell me what this code is and how to troubleshoot this? This is for a 91 Honda Accord. I've searched on this site and:
http://home.earthlink.net/~mic...s.htm
The page won't open when I click on the TCM code 10-15 page.
Any help is appreciated.

Is the speedo working? VSS problems are common on that year.

maybe you can contact american honda and have them rewrite the codes to suit your needs. LMAO
Thats the TCM flash codes for your car, sorry I didn't write the service manual.
What light are you watching ? D4 or 'S' ?
Maybe you have a code 1 and a code 4?

The 4th generation Accords commonly had problems with the transmission control module (TCM), where some resistor and capacitors gets burnt or blown.
The following link generally has a lot of info.; however, they temporarily re-link the website, and many of the useful pictures and diagrams don't show right now:

Transmission Trouble Code 14 may be due to:
- Short or open in the Brn/Wht (FAS) wire between the D16 terminal and ECM.
- Faulty ECM.
Code 14 can mean also mean line pressure control solenoid short or open, depending on model.
You should pull the TCM first, to check for burnt/blown resistors and/or capacitors.

<U>Hondadude</U> - LOL. I wish it was that simple. The blinking light is coming from the "S" light. I'm pretty sure I read it correctly and I know for a fact its a transmission code. My car doesn't upshift sometimes when I floor it on the highway. I have to let go of the gas and then it shifts, so that tells me its tranny related.
<U>tech8</U> - I remember you telling me to check the TCM awhile back so I took it out a couple of weeks ago and it was fine. Nothing was burnt out as it still looked brand new. I'm still trying to troubleshoot the stupid thing.
So what your saying is I should check if there is any power in the wire or check continuity from the D16 terminal to ECM first? It should not be getting power all the time correct? Just at certain shift points maybe? I'm not to sure on how that works. Do you have a wiring diagram/schematic you can send me or post?
