Oh yeah, if its a manual you'll see a plug that you can fit a 17mm wrench on several inches above and slightly rearward of the drain plug. Remove that, but save the washer, and reinstall the drain plug. Fill the trans. until fluid starts to spill out of the fill hole, then replace the fill hole plug (with the washer). Get 3qts to be safe.

Just wanted to add that any auto parts store will carry funnels designed to fit into automatic transmission dipstick holes.
