h22a with m2b4. just started out of the blue. 1st, 3rd and 5th all kick out of gear when driving and its hard to put into all those gears including reverse. 2nd and 4th are fine. the tranny always shifted smooth as ever. ive been driving this setup for almost a year now and everything seemed fine till today. what could this be?

 

check the cables, when i snapped a retaining clip off my cuzzins mr2 and it was having the exact same symptoms


check where the cables are clipped to the transmission

 

hmm. it still shifts into gear. just alot harder. almost feels like something is jammed up and wont let it go all the way and then pops back out of gear.

 

I think ur car just likes even numbers.....

but for real never heard of that kinda problem, good luck...

 

almost say cables for sure. just go over them and check all the clips/ mounting points on them.

 

wow. lol. it was my ignition coil that i never got to mounting since my h22 didnt come with the mount bracket... some how slid down and wedged between the linkages. sigh of releif. i thought my m2b4 was done for.
