1996 Civic DX w/ 00 GSR swap-COLD A/C in GA
edit price drop again-$5200!!!! and I will include the almost brand new Driveshaft Shop Axles free!
I am looking for a nice reliable 4 door w/ AC (automatic or 5 speed), but let me know what you have if you are interested...
This is a red DX coupe-no ps, pw, pl. However, the car did come with AC, and with the Del Sol bracket, it still works great. Probably about 180k miles on the chassis. The swap and work was done by the previous owner, I bought it about 7 months ago.
A few mods- AEM Cold air intake, DC sports header and full exhaust with an Omni power test pipe, and a Skunk2 intake manifold. It runs pretty strong.
The car is overall in good condition and looks good. There are little dimples on the top, hood and trunk (perhaps a light hail storm). Not that bad and only noticable in the right lighting and angle. When I bought the car I didn't even notice it... Also, normal dings on the sides, again nothing TOO bad, but they are noticable. It has the JDM yellow driving lights in the front with the stock switch mounted correctly. 2002 SI wheels with decent tread on the tires. Skunk2 lowering springs (stock springs included).
Clean carfax on the car and the swap (have paperwork on both). There is a total of about 80k miles on the engine and tranny which came out of a 2000 GSR (Hasport mounts used). The timing belt was done at the time of the swap (about 8k miles ago), along with an Exedy clutch.
The interior is in pretty good condition...a few rattles (probably due to the stiffer mounts, but not too bad). Has a Skunk2 shift **** and a decent Panasonic CD player. SI cluster, armrest console and brand new Honda floormats...Other, than that it is stock.
Problems:
The temperature guage is not always accurate. It works probably 95 % of the time. The needle will sometimes rise to 3/4 of the way up, but my mechanic confirmed is not overheating at all. If you flip the lights on and off the guage will jump, so it is obviously just an electrical problem...like I said MOST of the time it is working fine.
The CEL is on due to not having a cat.
Rides a little rough due to the stock shocks and lowering springs. Not terrible, though.
Other than those issues, the car is great. Extremely fun to drive, and I have not got less than 30 mpg since I have owned it.
I am asking $5800 (somewhat negotiable) for it, as is. But, I will accept *cash only* offers in person!!!! Partial trades may also be considered, just let me know what you have! 4-door automatic cars especially!
As you can see, A LOT more $ has been put into this car. The hardest work has already been done.
pm me with any questions/comments-thanks!
