1. what exactly did you buy for $1000 that didn't work?
2. where did you read that about the accord shifter box cuz that sounds retarded
3. if it worked on their ek duhhh it'll work on your eg
4. use the type s shifter box and cables and the 6 speed tranny
5. go to k20a.org
6. sounds like you're a little too pissy, if you think everyone is retarded then don't ask questions.

Theoretically i dont see why it wouldnt work. They both run off cables and H pattern transmissions. The only thing i could see being a problem is were the cables attach to the trans levers and length. But seriously i dont seeing that being a big problem.

Wow? actually ek and eg k swaps are very similar even more so when you put the eg k member on the ek, Umm let me see when you put a b series in you can use the same shift linkage in either car so the lengths are the same duh sounds like you've never done a swap son not even b series. I have and we used the rsx-s shifter, cables, and 6 speed transmission. And you wanna use some garbage accord stuff that you read about in sport compact car and ask us on Honda tech and talk smack to people go use your 90 accord box on your 04 motor I hope the cables bind and your synchros go bye bye hahahaha

Default can i use a 90-97 accord shifter box on a EG k swap?

i posted this in 92-00 civic and all i got were those idiot responses 'why did you do a k swap shoulda done h2b"

"i hope our cables bind and you blow your syncros"

and apperantly im a dickhole...............................

glad to see the honda scene is full of guys that troll forumns and pretend like they can do stuff

but i read about this in the sport compact car write up on a kswap ek civic, and i do have 3 accord sheels lying arond 1 is a parts cannot be registered and the other 2 are awaiting a nice h22 swap

so my parts accord has a shifter box and alot of other parts and im doing a "inexpensive" k swap so im just wondering can i use this box?

I think they must have made a typographical error and I would not take the chance. The only thing I can imagine is that the original author meant to refer to recent models of JDM and UKDM Accords that use the K motors.

Any number of cars that came with a K motor originally can provide your swap with a working shifter box. My own came from a USDM RSX Type S.

I wouldn't want to even think about fixing a USDM F motor Accord shifter box to fit in a conversion when there are so many obvious choices to make.

Try to treat each other with respect and sportsmanship, please. Some of the comments in this thread are a little over the top.

I use the Accord -91 shifter-box and cables to my ITR with K20.

You also have to move the shiftercable-mount on the gearbox approx. 1-2" towards the driver.

Is this going to be a daily driver?

I put the shifter box inside the cabin of my car, just to have the shifter closer to to me, but I can imagine not wanting it there in a daily driver.
