Are new S2K oil filters still made by Toyo Roki???? Pics included....
I just picked up a new S2k filter to do an oil change and I was amazed at what i saw.

Left is the new filter i got today, and the one on the right is an old one I have (which i ordered last year)
As you can tell, on the one to the right, it clearly states "TOYO ROKI" under step 1 but on the new one, it has TOYO ROKI NOWHERE on the filter

The new one has less holes on the bottom when compared to the old one.

The new one still in the packing. As you can see, it says "MADE IN THE USA"
So, are the new s2k filter starting to get made by Fram...i mean Honeywell. If so, i would like to know so that I don't waste my money on something that has cardboard inside. Sorry if this is stupid but i just have to know......

I can't believe you buy the dealer filters. Those are really expensive. I use a filter from a wholesale company called full. No one has heard of them cause they sell exclusively to autoshops and other companies but they look exactly the same as the honda filters and They only cost like $2.50. The oem filter is like $6 or more. Whatever they all have cardboard inside.
my friend actually works there so i get the s2k one for only $4 so its not that bad. But the thing that gets me is why did they change them from Toyo roki if they did at all?
Filtech (The manufacturer of the "new filters") is owned by Toyo Roki.
Here are some better pictures.

The Toyo Roki filters are being phased out.

Wow..
Step 1: Buy a Fram filter from AUTOZONE
Step 2: Take it out of the box
Step 3: Screw it onto your engine
NOTE: DON'T READ ANY OF IT AS IT DOESN'T MATTER WORTH OF CRAP.
This is pathetic.
No, this is past pathetic. Pathetic was when you were actually reading the **** on the oil filter itself. You passed right through the realm of being pathetic when you actually decided that it mattered.
Let's not even include that part that you use an S2k oil filter on ur civic for the extra what...2? 3 psi..? On what, a stock motor?
EDIT:
WHO BUYS DEALER FILTERS FOR A F80KING 7+ YEAR OLD HONDA CIVIC????
Ricers, I swear.

1st of all, the only reason i use the s2k filter on my civic is because I've heard that its a high quality filter which you can use if you want to improve your changing interval. I drive 700 miles a week to and from work and want to wait for 5000-6000 miles before an oil change. Although the oils can last that long (synthetic), i've heard that filters can't. For this reason, i began using the s2k filter with the belief that its of a better quality when compared to the regular. Besides, they cost me ONLY $4 which IS CHEAPER THAN FRAM and they're OEM.

Better quality? It's the same exact thing.
Do you honestly realize what you're posting about? You'll be fine with a regular civic oil filter. Or a regular S2K one, it doesn't have to be toyo whoever or any other name brand crap, any Fram or Honeywell or OEM or whatever oil filter will work fine and WORK THE SAME.
