Default buy a teg or civic?

i'm buying this for my mom, so it has to be automatic. i have been looking around for a week and a 92-95 civic is about $2,300 on average, and for some reason a 94+ teg 2 door automatic is about $1600 - 1800. i want to save gas as much as possible, and my mom will drive 100% city. im guessing the civic might average 28 mpg in the city, and the teg might make it at 24 - 25, since you dont need to press as much gas on a more torqier engine.

so what do you guys think? i want to get the civic more because of its reliability and gas mileage, but the teg is an Acrua and cheaper

Ej1...its less likely to be stolen, plus more mpg which is a +.

i chose a teg over a civic cause well.. for some odd reason the 94+ teg is cheaper (1600 average) than a 92-95 civic (2300 avarage) in my area. im thinking that they are both made by honda, so im pretty used to doing all the work on the cars already

the teg seems kind of cheap so there might be something wrong with it. who cares if its an acura. i dont think its too likely to be stolen. i mean who wants to steal an auto LS teg? same with a 4dr civic. you can also look into camrys and corollas. very old lady cars

i have been looking at toyotas too. the prices wasnt just 1 teg and 1 civic, i checked craigslist and these are average prices... i saw alot of tegs under 2 grand thats auto. i guess 2 door tegs are best if its stick

Haha, true enough. This is half the reason I went with a 4 door, cheaper insurance and it isn't a thief magnet.

Go for the teg if she doesn't mind 2doors, but A Camry or Corolla would be good, they are solid reliable cars too.
