Default 89 civic sedan b16 bogs when you hold the accl. steady.

When i hold the accelerator in one spot the car bogs down then goes back then bogs down, again and agian until you move the accelerator. I haven't been able to figure out what is wrong so i thought i would throw this out here to see if anyone else has had this problem and could help me out. other than this the car drives fine and everything else works great.

Are you throwing any CEL codes? I had a similiar problem and my O2 sensors were hooked up backwards.

but if it was the tps wouldn't it throw a code? i am not throwing any codes so i am kind of leaning towards a vaccum line.

Does any body know if you need the purge cut off solenoid with a b16 swap. is it important and what does it do.

also there is this black can mounted on the block under IF manifold, is this a oil catch can?
