<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by FD2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I cannot reveal my source, but as was mentioned here during the launch in Japan, the Stream is most likely headed to the United States. I don't know what transmission will go in it (the JDM model gets a 5 speed Auto and 7 speed CVT mated to either an R18A1 or R20A1, IIRC), but my inside source (he's very reliable) says it will have a K24. What I don't know is if it will a) keep the Stream name, and b) what spec K24, but more than likely, I'm betting a) it will and b) it'll be from the CR-V, hooked up to a 5 speed manual transmission, since the CR-V does not come equipped with an MT for the US market (*insert sad face*) and possibly the CVT. Look for at least one or two to debut at SEMA; the K24 equipped LHD Stream from Honda and another possible entry from an undisclosed tuner NOT working with Honda.

I'm sure TOV already knows this, but I figured I'd share with others who may be interested in adding this vehicle to their garages.

The spec list for this is pretty extensive. I'm curious as to what Honda would drop for importing, but I would hope it's not the Collision Mitigation system, etc.

I'm also told Honda is considering a new CRX, but if it does eventually show up in the Honda lineup, it will probably not debut until at least the 9th generation Civic is released, which is still another few years away. Of course, unless some devine intervention (or some kooky Hondaphile pushes Honda and gives them a good enough reason to build it sooner). My source says that while it's still on the table, he has not heard anything of a debut in Japan for the Tokyo show. If it does, expect it to be another "design excercise" for now with something more substantial to come later on.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I think honda just kind of mentions the CRX in every press release(or info leak at least) to keep people's attention.

It'd be a good competitor to the Mazda 5.

Yea, just what America needs. Another suv/minivan thing to raise gas prices and kill the environment and keep me from being able to see if I can turn left because they're blocking the way on the other side....

No, I'm not a tree hugger.

This vehicle was powered by a Honda four cylinder -- not a gas-guzzling pig of an engine ...
