Default JDM frontend sadness....

Just a question, has anyone ever gone through the headache of saving up the money, finding a good shop, and paying out the *** for a legit JDM front end conversion.... only to find that 6 months later and every pic you see on HT of US fronted R's, that you miss your US front and want it back?

Once you go JDM, how hard is it to put it back to US? I was under the impression that the shop had to "massage" my fender supports a bit to get it to work. And of course there's the welding in of the core support. Is it worth it?

I dont know of many people that have wanted to switch back to USDM front end after swapping to a JDM front end. Jasma front end may be what you need to keep your satisfied.

Its not hard. There was a guy selling his JDM Front itr. He reported like a week later and it was USDM front again and it looked flawless. I forgot whole the seller was.

Was just thinking the same.

Yes, it can be done. However, if you have JDM HID headlights... I'll buy em off ya. /plug.

The only reason he switched back to USDM is that I traded my USDM front end with him so he could sell his car more easily.

Right now is a great time to get cheap parts for Type R's b/c lots of peeps are selling right now/moving on.

BPR - Type R for life yo!

I've always thought USDM front-end was the better-looking of the two.

it does have its moments but if you want hid's its really not all that much more to go with a jdm front

hid front 1,700
sell old front 500 (someone who wanted same color as my car was and it was a -98-01 front)
leaves me at 1,200+ paint

nice hid setup is around 500 for a dc2
oem lip 200
sidemarkers 45
+ paint lip and my car needed paint as it was fading to milano pink

so all in all its not much more to go with a jdm front if you want hid and a nice little change

The only way I could do a JDM front swap is if I had the real Mugen front bumper.
